Gadgets

You can utilize Nitro TV with various gadgets including Roku, Kodi and Android. They have instructional recordings accessible to enable you to get your administration setup and working rapidly.

When utilizing your record you are just ready to stream the administration on 1 gadget at the same time. While you can have it on more than one gadget, just a single ought to be spilling at once.

I have utilized and tried Nitro TV and it is a strong administration on the off chance that you are hoping to cut the line. The cost is somewhat higher than most IPTV administrations, yet for every one of the channels you get it is as yet a staggering purchase.

The larger part of channels were working when utilizing the administration and the photo quality is one of the best I have seen from whatever other IPTV benefit. On the off chance that you are hoping to take a stab at something new or simply hoping to discover an administration that will address your issues I would try it out.

Foxtel Targets Pirate Streaming Sites in New ISP Blocking Case

Foxtel Targets Pirate Streaming Sites in New ISP Blocking Case

When the Australian government introduced new legislation to allow ‘pirate’ sites to be blocked Down Under, there was never any question that the law would go underused.
December last year following a lawsuit brought by Roadshow Films, Foxtel, Disney, Paramount, Columbia, and 20th Century Fox, the Federal Court ordered ISPs to block The Pirate Bay, Torrentz, TorrentHound, IsoHunt and streaming service SolarMovie.
This February the same rightsholders were back again, this time with even more targets in mind including ExtraTorrent, RarBG, Demonoid, LimeTorrents, YTS and EZTV, plus streaming portals 123Movies, CouchTuner, Icefilms, Movie4K, PrimeWire, Viooz, Putlocker and many more.
With blocking efforts gathering momentum, the fifth case seeking injunctions against pirate sites has just hit Australia’s Federal Court. It’s the second to be filed by Foxtel and again targets streaming sites including Yes Movies, Los Movies, Watch Series and Project Free TV.
In common with earlier cases, ISPs named in the latest application include TPG, Telstra, Optus and Vocus/M2. Once various subsidiaries are included, blocking becomes widespread across Australia, often encompassing dozens of smaller providers.
Speaking with ABC, a Foxtel spokesperson said the company has confidence that the Federal Court will ultimately order the sites to be blocked.
“Foxtel believes that the new site blocking regime is an effective measure in the fight to prevent international operators illegitimately profiting from the creative endeavours of others,” he said.
Indeed, the earlier cases brought by both the studios and record companies have pioneered a streamlined process that can be tackled relatively easily by rightsholders and presented to the court in a non-confrontational and easily understood format.
ISPs are not proving too much of a hindrance either, now that the issue of costs appears to be behind them. In Foxtel’s earlier case involving The Pirate Bay, the judge said that ISPs must be paid AUS$50 per domain blocked. That now appears to be the standard.
So what we have here is a quickly maturing process that has already developed into somewhat of a cookie-cutter site-blocking mechanism.
Applications are made against a particular batch of sites and after the court assesses the evidence, an injunction is handed down. If further similar and related sites (such as proxies and mirrors) need to be blocked, those are dealt with in a separate and simplified process.
That was highlighted last week when an application by Universal Music, Warner Music, Sony Music and J Albert & Son, resulted in a range of KickassTorrents spin-off sites being approved for blocking by the Federal Court. The ISPs in question, 20 in total, have been given two weeks to block the sites.
Whether this will have the desired effect will remain to be seen. Australians are well-versed in unblocking solutions such as VPNs. Ironically, most learned of their existence when trying to gain access to legal services such as Netflix, that were available overseas for years before hitting Aussie shores.
Since that has now been remedied with a local launch, rightsholders and companies such as Foxtel are hoping that pirate services will be less attractive options.
“We trust that Australians recognize that there are increasing numbers of ways to access content in a timely manner and at reasonable prices. [This] ensures that revenue goes back to the people who create and invest in original ideas,” a Foxtel spokesperson said.
If the United Kingdom is any template (and all signs suggest that it is), expect hundreds of similar ‘pirate’ sites to be blocked in Australia in the coming months.

5 REASONS WHY USING VPN WITH KODI IS CRUCIAL

5 REASONS WHY USING VPN WITH KODI IS CRUCIAL

At first glance, Kodi seems to be a simple media player. However, once the right add-ons are introduced to it, it very easily transforms into free content’s Holy Grail. You get access to almost any streams pertaining to live sports, new movies, and TV shows. However, there is a hidden price that is charged to Kodi users when they use third party add-ons such as Exodus, SALTS, Quasar, or Sportsdevil. Legal hassles may pop up if some Kodi add-ons are used without protection. For instance, P2P/Torrent addons used without protection or permission could invite a lawsuit. Also, some ISPs regulate their users’ Internet connections by slowing them down when they notice that they happen to be streaming large quantities of video content. This is known as ISP throttling. In this article, we will present you with 5 reasons that show why using VPN with Kodi is absolutely crucial.

VPN – MAKING YOUR LIFE EASIER

This has led to a situation where to avoid bandwidth throttling and lawsuits; most Kodi users need to sign up for a VPN service that’s designed specifically for streamers. An example of this VPN service is PureVPN, which is quite popular.
Any cord-cutter who’s ditched his satellite or cable bill will know the numerous options for streaming movies and TV shows. You have the option of going for paid streaming services such as Hulu, Netflix, Video, Apple TV, Google Play Video, and Amazon Prime. Or you could go for Kodi, the open source software for the home theater that can run on any device.
But Kodi’s pretty basic by itself and lets you stream video from a selection of official add-ons or play your own local media files. The scope for limitless video streaming opens up when you look for unofficial add-ons.
These are developed by independent operators who simply have no connection with Kodi’s core team. They just write add-ons that will work on Kodi. These unofficial add-ons are numerous, and it’s up to you to make the appropriate selection from this vast array of add-ons and how to use them both ethically and legally. The following reasons will make it clear why you need to use VPN with Kodi.

VPN HIDES YOUR TRAFFIC FROM YOUR ISP

When using Kodi add-ons unofficially to stream movies and TV shows, it’s prudent not to allow your Internet Service Provider to track everything that you’re streaming and its location. A VPN encrypts all your data that flows in & out of the Kodi box or even the data of your entire home.
It’s also equipped to pass all your personal data via a VPN server of your choice placed anywhere the world over. This prevents your ISP from tracking your contents and the sources of all your Internet traffic. Moreover, since ISPs have formally begun notifying people who pirate content, this is required more than ever. No more free lunches!

STREAM KODI ANONYMOUSLY

A VPN enables you to download, browse, and stream anonymously. It not only makes your ISP blind to whatever your entire traffic is, but simultaneously also makes the server from which you download, blind to your identity and location. Servers are unable to track your IP address because they just get to identify the VPN server through which the traffic is routed.

ACCESS GEO-BLOCKED CONTENT

When you use a VPN, you have the option of choosing a server in any country you want. Once you connect to a particular VPN server, geo-restricted Kodi addons will ‘think’ that you are a resident of a region where their content is actually available. This is certainly a major issue for those who use paid streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu.
These are notorious for geo-blocking their content which is available only to select countries because of formal partnership agreements and legal formalities involved. A VPN fortunately, is a grand way of bypassing this hurdle. However, it needs to be known that Netflix & Hulu are aware of these VPN workarounds and have started to block them. But the good news is that Kodi add-ons will help you surmount that problem as well.

GET READY ACCESS TO ALL NEW RELEASES

A poignant advantage of using VPNs is getting access to all new releases before anyone else does. For example, if a brand new video game is being launched sometime around midnight on a particular day and you’re based out of the US, your VPN can be set to connect somewhere in Asia in order to download the game almost twenty-four hours earlier.

BYPASS BLACKOUT RESTRICTIONS

If you live in the USA or Canada, you’re probably already aware that sports channels like ESPN, MLB.tv, NHL.tv, and NFL GamePass impose blackout restrictions on live games. That means you will not be able to watch your favorite team live. Using VPN allows you to bypass these blackout restrictions regardless of whether you’re using an unofficial Kodi addon or the official sports channel itself.

BEST VPN SERVICE TO USE WITH KODI

VPN will not only grant you access to geo-restricted Kodi addons, but it’ll also allow you to conduct your Kodi streaming anonymously. No more ISP or copyright groups snooping. If you haven’t used VPN with Kodi before, we highly encourage you to do so for the reasons we’ve listed below.
  • Unblock Geo-restricted Kodi Add-ons: There are a lot of Kodi addons that you can only use in certain regions such as FreeView, BBC iPlayer, Channel 4, and ITV addons. With VPN you can stream whichever addon you want, wherever you are.
  • Bypass ISP Throttling: Ever noticed that your Internet speed is decent if you are browsing websites but suddenly drops when you are watching videos online? If that is the case, your ISP is probably throttling your Internet speed. Using VPN basically allows you to avoid that from happening.
  • Ultimate Privacy: Your ISP will not be able to see what sites you visit, files you download, or videos you stream.
  • VPN Applications: You don’t have to be a tech-freak to setup a VPN connection. VPN apps on PC, Mac, Android, iOS, and FireStick make the whole process fairly simple.
From personal experience, PureVPN is the best VPN service you can use with Kodi. They have optimized their VPN apps to work better with Kodi add-ons and have a no-logs policy. Simply sign up with PireVPN. Then download their app to the same device you use Kodi on. Finally, launch the app, sign in, and connect to a VPN server of your choice. Check out our reviewed list of the best Kodi VPNs in 2017.

5 REASONS WHY USING VPN WITH KODI IS CRUCIAL – WRAP UP

In case you’re wondering whether you need VPN with Kodi or not, hopefully the reasons listed above made things clearer for you. There’s no doubt that using VPN with Kodi has many benefits both in terms of privacy and entertainment.

EU court rules streaming pirated content on a Kodi box is now illegal

Let’s get a few things out of the way real quick. Owning a Kodi box is not illegal. Streaming your own purchased content to a Kodi box is not illegal. Selling or installing a Kodi box is not illegal. Streaming pirated content to a Kodi box, however, is now illegal in the European Union. Kodi boxes have become popular, even breaking into the mainstream non-techie realm due to the ability to pull content from across the internet.
Kodi started its life out as XBMC (Xbox Media Center) whose goal was to make the Xbox a whole entertainment system. XBMC was pretty popular with the tech and tinkering crowd but never really caught on with the public. The XBMC project has since morphed into Kodi and has become even more user-friendly and easy to use. Kodi itself is nothing more than software that manages your local and online content. It provides a nice user interface which has the look and feel of popular streaming services like Netflix and Hulu.
You can use Kodi to access your local content or access services like Netflix, Hulu, YouTube and all of the normal streaming services. Let’s face it though, everyone knows by now, Kodi also allows you to access other streaming options. The streaming options I speak of are generally sources that host and stream loads of illegally gotten content. Out of the box, a Kodi box doesn’t work with these sources, the user must set those sources up themselves. Kodi even puts a disclaimer on their software.
  • Kodi does not supply or include any media or content.
  • Users must provide their own content or install one of the third-party plug-ins
  • Kodi has no affiliation with any third-part plug-in or add-on provider what so ever.
  • We do not endorse the streaming of copyright-protected material without permission of the copyright holder.
Here in the United States, it’s become a business for some buying and setting up Kodi boxes then reselling them for a profit already setup. As we’ve already said, streaming your own content or purchased content to Kodi is not illegal, but it’s always been a gray area when streaming from third-party sources. Now, a court in the EU has ruled that streaming copyrighted content from third-party sources is illegal.
The argument has always been that streaming copyrighted material isn’t illegal because one isn’t storing that material on their own drives. The EU ruling is making that area far less gray with this new ruling.
The Court of Justice of the European Union has categorically ruled that the temporary reproduction of copyright-protected work – without the consent of the rights holder – cannot be deemed as exempt from “right of reproduction”.
In some case, it is perfectly legal to temporarily reproduce a copyrighted work.
Although this is technically what a stream is doing, the EU court has ruled that piracy-friendly boxes do not meet the requirements for this exemption since their temporary transmissions hurt the copyright holder.
The ruling states, “The Court also finds that temporary acts of reproduction, on that multimedia player, of a copyright protected work obtained by streaming on a website belonging to a third party offering that work without the consent of the copyright holder, cannot be exempted from the right of reproduction.”
It adds: “Furthermore, acts of temporary reproduction, on the multimedia player in question, of copyright-protected works adversely affects the normal exploitation of those works and causes unreasonable prejudice to the legitimate interests of the copyright holders because it usually results in a diminution of the lawful transactions relating to those protected works.”
There you have it. The EU is making it much harder for one to want to use a Kodi box for fear of being prosecuted. Of course, there are ways to use the Kodi software to stream from third-party providers and keep your IP safe, use a VPN. Using a VPN  with Kodi service is useful to block your IP address but we also know ISP’s are on the lookout for users who utilize these services. It will be interesting to see how effective this EU ruling is and how many Kodi users actually stop streaming from illegal third-party sources.

ShowBox Chromecast Setup Guide: STREAM to TV

ShowBox Chromecast Setup Guide: STREAM to TV

This Showbox Chromecast guide shows you how to cast or “stream” movies from Show Box to Chromecast.

Learn How to Setup Kodi VPN

WHAT IS SHOW BOX?

ShowBox is a streaming movie & TV app similar to Kodi.  In fact, it’s one of the best Kodi alternatives around.  Since Show Box is an alternative to Kodi, we recommend you take the same precautions as when you use Kodi: make sure you protect your streams with a VPN.

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN KODI AND SHOWBOX

Kodi is an extremely “wide-open” environment for which programmers make all kinds of plugins.  In contrast, ShowBox is kind of like “just 1 good Kodi plugin” such as Exodus.  This means that Showbox can sometimes be “more reliable” than Kodi.  Also, ShowBox is focused on smartphones.  So we enjoy some added benefits of that, such as the ability to stream movies from ShowBox to TV with a Chromecast (step-by-step instructions below)!

HOW TO USE SHOWBOX

ShowBox has a very user-friendly app interface.  Using Show Box is similar to using Kodi.
To watch movies in ShowBox:
  1. Launch the ShowBox app
  2. Select a movie.  Press Play (if necessary – many movies will AutoPlay!)
  3. Set up Showbox Chromecast (directions below) so you can cast movies from your phone to your TV.

Amazon bans selling of 'fully-loaded' Kodi boxes from its website

Amazon bans selling of 'fully-loaded' Kodi boxes from its website

Amazon has become the latest organisation to help with the ongoing crackdown on the misuse of Kodi boxes.

KODI VPN

The US retail giant has banned 'fully loaded' boxes - used by some to illegally stream live sport, TV and films - from being sold on its website.
Users of the perfectly legal unmodified set-top devices can access online content, including official streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime.
But because it uses an open platform, the Kodi software allows users to install additional applications that give them access to copyrighted material – uploaded, shared or streamed from other users across the globe.
Many are selling "fully loaded" boxes, which come pre-packed with these additional apps, with people using it to illegally stream Premier League football matches.
Their popularity is causing concern for UK authorities. In February, five people were arrested for selling "fully loaded" Kodi boxes, the Mirror reports .
The raids were instigated by the Federation Against Copyright Theft (FACT), on behalf the Premier League, Sky, BT Sport and Virgin Media.

What is Kodi?

Kodi is a free media player that can run on any computer, smartphone, tablet or set-top box, allowing users to stream films and TV programmes over the internet.
A "Kodi box" is a set-top box or the Kodi media player can be installed on a streaming stick like the Amazon Fire.

Is it legal?

The software itself is not illegal, nor is it illegal to sell devices with Kodi pre-installed on them.
However, many of these Kodi devices come pre-loaded with third party plug-ins and add-ons that allow users to stream pirated content to their TV.
Selling these "fully loaded" TV set-top devices is a breach of the Copyright, Designs and Patent Act 1988.
Individuals involved in this crime may also be breaking the Fraud Act, and be charged with money laundering offences, according to FACT.

What is Amazon doing?

Amazon is now banning all devices such as Kodi boxes, which can be uploaded with software that make it easy for viewers to watch paid-for programmes such as Premier League football live games for free.
The company has now announced that anyone caught using its Amazon Marketplace to sell devices that "promote, facilitate or enable" illegal access to copyrighted TV and films for free will now have their accounts suspended.
Sellers who violate the policy could have stock stored in Amazon fulfilment centres destroyed with no reimbursement, the company has warned.
Amazon has never explicitly permitted the sale of these copyright-infringing set-top boxes, however, it was possible to find sellers within the online marketplace trying to sell them through the retail portal.
The online retailer has now published a notice warning users about selling devices that promote piracy.
The note warns: "Products offered for sale on Amazon should not promote, suggest the facilitation of, or actively enable the infringement of or unauthorised access to digital media or other protected content.
"Any streaming media player or other device that violates this policy is prohibited from sale on Amazon."

Who else is cracking down?

A crackdown by FACT, Greater Manchester Police , City of London Police and the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) is targeting those involved in the sale and distribution of these illegal "fully loaded" devices.
FACT's priority is to "disrupt and combat individuals manufacturing, importing, selling and re-selling these illegal devices".
While the end user is not a target, they could get swept up in one of FACT's operations, and could become part of the whole criminal investigation, the organisation said.
Of course, this doesn't stop people from buying "clean" Kodi boxes, and then downloading the copyright infringing add-ons themselves.
Many people also download the Kodi media player onto another TV streaming device - such as a Google Chromecast or Amazon Fire TV Stick - and install the plug-ins from there.

What are the penalties?

The penalties for sellers are high - it could result in time behind bars.
In December 2016, Terry O'Reilly was sentenced to four years imprisonment for selling illegal set-top TV boxes, a prosecution brought by the Premier League with support from FACT.
Meanwhile in February, set-top boxes pre-loaded with Kodi streaming software were seized at the homes of the five suspects in Bolton, Bootle, Cheadle, Manchester and Rhyl.
It is believed the suspects had made in the region of £250,000 selling the devices online.

What about penalties for people using the boxes?

FACT claims that "if you are accessing premium pay-for content, like Sky, BT Sport and Virgin Media, and you do not have a subscription with an official provider then this is unlawful access".
However, it is unclear exactly what law you would be breaking.
If you were to download an illegally copied file, that would constitute copyright infringement. However, when you stream something online, the file is stored only temporarily on your computer - and temporary copies are exempt from copyright laws.
In a landmark ruling in 2014, the Court of Justice of the European Union ruled that internet users who look at copyrighted material online aren't breaking the law by doing so, citing Article 5.1 of the EU Copyright Directive.
It stated that copies of copyrighted material that appear "on the users computer screen" and "in the internet 'cache' of that computer's hard disk" are "temporary" and "may therefore be made without the authorisation of the copyright holders".
Morally, of course, it's a completely different matter.
Anyone accessing content from a pirate site is involving themselves in unlawful behaviour, often putting money into the hands of criminals.
They are also undermining the legitimate sale of subscription TV services, which employ tens of thousands of people in the UK, and whose contributions are key to the creative and sporting industries.
Furthermore, accessing illegal sites can leave your computer vulnerable to viruses and other harmful content.

What is the Premier League doing?

The Premier League says it has launched its "largest ever" crackdown on streaming devices.
Sergio Aguero of Manchester City celebrates with the Premier League trophy
A spokesman for the Premier League said: "We are currently engaged in our largest ever anti-piracy campaign to protect our copyright.
"Like other sports and creative industries our model is predicated on the ability to market and sell rights and protect our intellectual property.
"It is because of this that clubs can invest in and develop talented players, build world-class stadiums, support the English football pyramid and schools and communities across the country – all things that fans enjoy and wider society benefits from."

What is Kodi doing to prevent illegal streaming?

We weren't able to get hold of anyone from Kodi to discuss the steps the company is taking to prevent its media player from being used for illegal streaming.
In the past, the company has maintained an officially neutral stance on what users do with their own software.
"Kodi is open source software, and as long as the GPL (General Public License) is followed, you are welcome to do with it as you like," Kodi Product Manager Nathan Betzen told TorrentFreak last year.
"While we don't love this use of Kodi, as long as you know what illegal and potentially dangerous things you are getting yourself into and accept the fact that the team will not be providing you with any support, then you are welcome to do what you like."
However, the company is going after sellers who use the Kodi trademark to flog fully-loaded set-top boxes without permission.
"We will issue trademark takedown notices anywhere we think the likelihood for confusion is high," said Betzen.
"If you are selling a box on your website designed to trick users into thinking broken add-ons come from us and work perfectly, so you can make a buck, we're going to do everything we can to stop you."
